Erected in the 1920’s the San Antonio Municipal Auditorium has been recently restored to its former beauty, while upgrading the interior qualities to appeal to the needs of modern performers and visitors.

Approaching the San Antonio Municipal Auditorium, the visitor is greeted by tall towers topped with dome style roofing. Spanning the front are five huge arches and entering the Municipal Auditorium you’ll find yourself in a breathtaking Mediterranean style lobby.

The beauty of the building only enhances the experience you’ll find within. Only a few blocks from the historic Alamo, an easy stroll down the famous San Antonio River Walk, the San Antonio Municipal Auditorium features a 5,000 seat auditorium for events ranging from graduations to full scale musical and theatrical productions.

Built by the City of San Antonio to honor the return of WWI veterans, the San Antonio Municipal Auditorium has withstood the test of time. Although it was ravaged by fire in the late 70’s, the catastrophe only served to fuel the resurgence of the facility. Lovingly restored to its original beauty, and with it’s historic place in the history of San Antonio assured, the Municipal Auditorium is a living reminder of the past, and a familiar and well loved sight to both citizens and visitors to San Antonio.
