San Antonio Spurs Basketball
For years, San Antonio Spurs tickets have been rewarding NBA fans with championship caliber basketball. With Spurs Veterans Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker leading the way, and now armed with Richard Jefferson, Antonio McDyess, Marcus Haislip and their top draft pick monster Power Forward DeJuan Blair there doesn't appear to be any change in San Antonio Spurs tickets in the near future. Originally a member of the ABA, the Spurs didn't arrive in San Antonio until 1973. Success didn't come immediately. It took the expansion franchise, formerly known as the Dallas Chaparrals and Texas Chaparrals, six seasons before it would win its first division title in 1978. Under the direction of head coach Gregg Popovich, the Spurs have shaken off their losing ways from the franchise's early years and blossomed into perennial championship contenders. The Spurs brought home three NBA Championship banners to San Antonio, which now hang in the rafters in one of most exciting arenas in the league, the AT&T Center.
San Antonio Spurs History
Behind a strong performance from David Robinson, San Antonio's first captured the Larry O'Brien Trophy in 1999. Tim Duncan helped reward San Antonio Spurs ticket holders with two more titles in 2003, 2005 and 2007. What will San Antonio Spurs tickets deliver in the future? From all indications the Spurs will continue to have success. While San Antonio's core of stars have transformed into grizzled veterans, the Spurs will always be a factor in the NBA's Western Conference. The AT&T Center will be showcasing championship-caliber basketball for years to come, and you can be in the thick of all the excitement with San Antonio Spurs tickets.
